A seasoned media consultant and public affairs analyst, Abdulrahman Sade, has vehemently condemned the recent allegations and blackmail leveled against former Group Managing Director of National Petroleum Investment Management Service (NAPIMS), Bala Wunti, describing them as "most unfortunate and laughable." Sade emphasized that Wunti's impeccable service record and dedication to his country are a testament to his integrity and commitment to excellence.
According to Sade, the allegations against Wunti are baseless, mischievous, and self-centered, driven by individuals who are threatened by his rising profile as a philanthropist and his positive impact on the people of Bauchi State and beyond. Sade alleged that some ambitious politicians, eyeing seats in 2027, are orchestrating these malicious attacks to defame Wunti, whom they perceive as a political threat due to his philanthropic work and widespread acceptance among the common man.
Sade highlighted Wunti's exemplary leadership and achievements in his previous roles, including as Managing Director of Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC) and Group General Manager of NAPIMS. He described Wunti as a dedicated and patriotic individual who has made lasting legacies wherever he worked, leaving an indelible mark on the oil and gas industry.
"Wunti's track record speaks for itself," Sade said. "He designed and implemented strategies to achieve seamless supply and distribution of petroleum products across the country, showcasing his expertise and commitment to excellence. His tenure at NAPIMS was marked by honesty, humility, and dedication, earning him the respect of his peers and the admiration of the people."
Sade emphasized that as a fellow son of Bauchi State, he has a duty to defend its citizens who have excelled in their fields of endeavor. He stressed that Wunti's integrity should be protected and guarded jealously, regardless of politics, and that the malicious allegations against him are a clear attempt to undermine his good name and reputation.
The media consultant also expressed disappointment at the sponsors of the negative vituperations against Wunti, describing them as individuals who hate progress and their immediate society. "They should hide in shame," Sade said. "The common man in Bauchi State knows that they did not make the best use of opportunities to serve the people, unlike Wunti who left lasting legacies."
Sade concluded by calling on well-meaning Nigerians to join hands in defending Wunti's reputation and protecting his legacy. "We will not stand idly by while our sons and daughters are maligned and traduced," he said. "We will defend Bala Wunti and other exemplary individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving their country and making a positive impact on society."
