My Dedication to the People of Bauchi Remains Unshaken – Zainab Baban Takko

Former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development in Bauchi State, Haj. Zainab Baban-Takko, has reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the people of Bauchi following her removal from office by Governor Bala Mohammed.

In a statement issued after her exit, Baban-Takko described public service as a sacred duty and expressed deep appreciation for the confidence reposed in her by the Governor, whom she credited for entrusting her with multiple responsibilities over the years.

Quoting from her remarks, she declared:

“Even though my position in government may change, my dedication to the people of Bauchi remains unshaken.”

The former Commissioner emphasized that her removal from office does not in any way diminish her passion for service, stressing that her loyalty to the progress of Bauchi and its people remains firm and enduring.

Baban Takko highlighted her journey in public service, recalling that she had been appointed at different times to serve in several strategic positions, including Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Caretaker Chairman of Bauchi Local Government, and later Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development.

“These appointments were an honor and a trust I will continue to cherish forever. I remain grateful to His Excellency for the confidence he has repeatedly shown in me,” she said.

While acknowledging the Governor, she also extended heartfelt appreciation to the people of Bauchi State, praising them for their prayers, encouragement, and consistent support throughout her public service career.

“I owe the people of Bauchi a debt of gratitude for their unwavering support. Their prayers and encouragement strengthened me in every responsibility I was given,” she added.

She went further to remind the public that positions in government may change, but service to humanity endures. According to her, leadership should be guided by honesty, humility, and a commitment to the welfare of the people.

“Public service is a sacred trust. Regardless of the office one holds, what matters most is the ability to serve with sincerity, humility, and commitment to the progress of society,” she stressed.

Baban Takko concluded with prayers for the prosperity of Bauchi State and divine reward for everyone dedicated to service:

“May Allah bless Bauchi State and reward every effort made in the service of humanity.”

Her parting words, described by political observers as both reflective and inspiring, underline her determination to remain a strong voice for the people, even outside government office.
