Bauchi, May 5, 2025 - Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of members of a vigilante group in an ambush attack by suspected bandits in Mansur village, Alkaleri Local Government Area.
The governor extended his condolences to the bereaved families, the people of Alkaleri, and the entire state, praying for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, Governor Mohammed reiterated the government's commitment to tackling insecurity and called on residents to collaborate with security agencies to prevent such incidents.
The governor assured the public that the government would spare no effort in ensuring Bauchi remains safe and peaceful, and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The statement read, "This heinous and senseless act of violence is a painful reminder of the continued threat posed by criminal elements who seek to disrupt the peace and security of our communities.
