This partnership was reaffirmed during a courtesy visit by the State Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, to the UNICEF Chief of Bauchi Field Office , Dr. Nuzhat Rafique.

According to Dr. Rafique, the collaboration will involve technical support, liaison, and alignment on key humanitarian and social protection objectives, particularly in areas such as social protection and humanitarian policy, education, and sensitization.
