NKUJE, The Anti-Crime Volunteer, Vows to Rid Azare of Criminality
By Musa Usman, Azare
Following the recent surge in violent crimes across Azare town, renowned anti-crime volunteer Ahmed Mohammed, popularly known as Nkuje, has vowed to track down and apprehend perpetrators in order to restore peace and security to the community.
Residents have expressed growing concern over the rising incidents of violent robberies, particularly the “hit-and-take” attacks, where young criminals use knives and machetes to inflict injuries on victims before snatching mobile phones or motorcycles.
Nkuje, who has long been known for his volunteer efforts in combating crime, revealed that most of the culprits are not outsiders but residents of Azare. He emphasized that these criminals often live within the neighborhoods they terrorize.
He further advised parents to pay closer attention to their children’s behavior and associations. According to him, many parents are aware of their children’s involvement in crime but fail to take corrective measures.
Issuing a stern warning, Nkuje announced that beginning in the next four days, he will intensify efforts to clamp down on criminals “without mercy,” assuring residents that, Insha Allah, his mission will lead to the arrest of those responsible and the restoration of safety in Azare.
