A Northeast Zonal Political Pressure Group, North East Youth Ambassadors has lashed upon a gubernatorial aspirant in Bauchi for his anti-social pasture of tarnishing the image of his political opponent, Senator Shehu Buba Umar, in a bid for sympathy from the electorates ahead of the 2027 polls.
The Secretary-General of the group, Mallam Bana Muhammad said that it is ridiculous and art of cowardice for any aspirant, a gubernatorial aspirant for that matter to think that the only way to attract sympathy, ballots or outwit an opponent looking for same elective seat is to castigate or dent his image in the right thinking eyes of the public.
Mallam Bana Muhammad was yesterday reacting to a social media footage by an opponent of Senator Shehu Buba Umar from one of the registered political parties in Bauchi, also eyeing for the state's governorship seat against Senator Buba with the same aspiration, who preferred to ridicule others to for upper-hand shift.
Muhammad who declined to mention the name of the political activist, said that the politician used the fake video in the social media handle of his aide to salvo on the Senator representing the Bauchi South senatorial district, asking "Why hide under the mask to perpetuate the atrocity."
He queried, "If the man is his salt, why hide under a cover to salvo the attack, why didn't he vent his anger, opposition, politico-aggrandisement, and political stupidity publicly. Let him show that he is equal to the task of standing elections".
The North East Youth Ambassadors' Chief asked what he described as the 'so-called' gubernatorial aspiration with politicians of exceptional repute in the society, and asked the surrogate, "It is better you leap before jumping.
Mallam Bana Muhammad then queried the situation exploiter, "Was he hired by a politician to serve as an errant or was he really in the chess game to outwit someone or serve the interest of Bauchi people generally?
