PDP Remains Nigerians’ Darling Party in Modern Democracy – Governors Forum

From Ahmad Saka, Bauchi

Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, has reaffirmed that the PDP remains the preferred political party for Nigerians under modern democracy.

Governor Bala gave the assurance when he received a delegation of PDP leaders from Delta State, led by Chief Edwin Olley and Hon. Dr. Michael Tidi Esq., former Chairman of Warri South Local Government, during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Bauchi.

According to a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Usman Shehu Usman, the governor pledged his continuous support to Delta PDP stakeholders, stressing that the party remains the most formidable and people-oriented platform in Nigeria.

He described Olley and Tidi as true party loyalists and founding members of the PDP who have consistently contributed to the growth and success of the party both in Delta State and across the nation. He commended their resilience in remaining steadfast despite the wave of political defections in the country.

“PDP is strong. We have begun the process of recalibration and unification. The strength of our party lies in the people, and it is important to stress that our structure is organic, formidable, and nationally spread. There is no community in Nigeria where you won’t find the PDP presence. Nigerians are eager to see PDP return to power in 2027,” Governor Bala stated.

He further emphasized that the PDP’s legacy of good governance and national spread makes it the party of choice for Nigerians, assuring continued solidarity with party faithful across the country.

In their remarks, Chief Edwin Olley and Hon. Dr. Michael Tidi praised Governor Bala’s leadership role as Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, describing him as a rallying pillar for the party’s stability and direction.

They appealed for his support in repositioning Delta PDP following recent political developments, reaffirming that Delta has remained a stronghold of the party since the advent of the current democratic dispensation.
